The first groups are ready to tee off in Round 4 at THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. Here's how it sets up:

Groups We're Watching
Tee time Players
1:45 p.m. ET, Hole No. 1 Tiger Woods, Kenny Perry
Perry has driven the ball perfectly the last two rounds, and if his putter stays hot, he has a real shot at the FedExCup title.
1:35 p.m. ET, Hole No. 1 Phil Mickelson, Sean O'Hair
Phil is 7 under since his quad on Thursday. He's one of several players with a slim chance at taking the FedExCup title from Woods.
1:15 p.m. ET, Hole No. 1 Steve Stricker, Ernie Els
We all know Stricker can win the FedExCup with a victory, but he can also win if he finishes solo second and Woods finishes third or worse.

Kudos to the PGA TOUR for going early on Saturday to get the third round in, and now with a good forecast for the final round of THE TOUR Championship, the stage is set for an exciting final round which I am predicting will be like riding a roller coaster, as we crown a champion at East Lake and the winner of the 2009 FedExCup.

I said yesterday that someone would shoot a low round. There were two 64s carded, but don't look for the same in the final round. With the anticipation of bad weather during the third round, the TOUR staff allowed the greens to slow up a bit, confusing the players. Look for the greens to be firm and fast in the final round. Three under will be a wonderful round to shoot.

The excitement of this year's Playoffs for the FedExCup shows that we are closing in on getting the correct formula for this series of events, and of course, for the season. Will the PGA TOUR get it perfect? I hope not, because at that point, you would not have any adjustments, which I think are always necessary. Either way, I have been on the edge of my seat, as each event has had its drama. Of course, I have probably had the best seat in the house -- up close and personal walking inside the ropes, calling each shot.

Thank you to the wonderful crowds that came out on Saturday to support this event, but don't forget, we have one more round. See you out there!
