SEAN O'HAIR: Seventh in FedExCup points (1,200 after reset)
Sean OHair started the season with top-25 finishes in nine of his first 10 starts, including five top-10 finishes and a victory at the Quail Hollow Championship. OHairs solid play throughout the 2009 season has meant that the 27-year-old has never fallen outside of the top 20 in the FedExCup standings at any point during the season. Following his victory at Quail Hollow, OHair went 10 events without a top-10 finish but turned it on during the PGA TOUR Playoffs with top-10s in each of his last two events (T8-Deutsche Bank Championship, fourth-BMW Championship) moving him to No. 7 in the rankings. If OHair wins THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola, only Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker could win the FedExCup by finishing second. In OHairs only appearance at the TOUR Championship, he finished 12th in 2005.
Quick analysis
His win at Quail Hollow in May was his sixth top-10 of the season. A new baby and a wrist injury brought some changes, but O'Hair has regained his momentum in the Playoffs with two top-10s. He's shot par or better in his last eight rounds so look for him to come to Atlanta with confidence. That fourth-place finish at Cog Hill boosted him seven spots in the FedExCup standings and gave O'Hair a shot at the ultimate prize. -- Helen Ross
