DUSTIN JOHNSON: 11th in FedExCup points (480 after reset)
Johnson picked up his second career victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, joining six other Americans under age 30 with multiple PGA TOUR victories (J.B. Holmes, D.J. Trahan, Sean OHair, Anthony Kim, Nick Watney and Charles Howell III). The win moved him to No. 4 in the FedExCup standings, and Johnson has remained in the top 20 ever since. Johnson has posted a total of five top-10 finishes this season, most recently at the Deutsche Bank Championship, where he finished tied for fourth. That finish is one of two strong performances for Johnson in the Playoffs. He shot a final-round, course-record 7-under 64 at Liberty National to improve from tied for 51st after 54 holes to tied for 15th at The Barclays. A tie for 30th at the BMW Championship secured Johnsons 11th-place seed heading into THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola.
Quick analysis
It's been another solid season for the PGA TOUR sophomore. He shot three rounds in the 60s to make the rain-shortened AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am his second TOUR win. The big-hitting Johnson has made a good run through the Playoffs, too, and finds himself at THE TOUR Championship for the first time in his brief career. -- Helen Ross
