STEVE STRICKER: Second in FedExCup points (2,250 after reset) Stricker has enjoyed the best year of his career since turning professional in 1994. With a career-best three victories in the 2009 season, the 42-year-old finds himself second in the FedExCup rankings and in the conversation for Player of the Year. Stricker has 10 top-10 finishes in 2009. With two victories and eight top-10 finishes in the Regular Season, Stricker entered the PGA TOUR Playoffs at No. 2 in the FedExCup standings. With a tie for second at The Barclays and his third victory of the year at the Deutsche Bank Championship, Stricker moved to No. 1 in the standings. After a successful start to his PGA TOUR career, Strickers play fell off slightly in 2003-2005 when he failed to crack the top 125 on the PGA TOUR Money List. Since then, he has won the PGA TOUR Comeback Player of the Year award twice and finished second in the FedExCup in 2007. The last time Stricker had a top-10 finish in THE TOUR Championship was 1998 when he finished tied for fifth. |

| Quick analysis |
| We started calling him Mr. September due to his success in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup as he tied for second at The Barclays and won the Deutsche Bank Championship. But there is so much more to Stricker. He won twice in four starts during the Regular Season and had six other top-10s finishes. His $6 million in earnings is a career best, and he could cap a career year with the FedExCup. -- Helen Ross |
