THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola today announced that the TICKETS Fore CHARITY? (TFC) program will include single day tickets for each of the five tournament days.

In addition to the newly-added single day tickets, the unique fundraising initiative offers a Weekly Grounds Ticket Book, which includes a ticket for every tournament day. THE TOUR Championship will be held Sept. 23-27, 2009, at East Lake Golf Club as the finale to the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. One hundred percent of net proceeds from tickets sold through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY? program will benefit local charities, including the East Lake Foundation, The First Tee, and 10 community partners.
"Giving to charity is essential to THE TOUR Championship and positively affecting the community is the real reason it exists," said Todd Rhinehart, executive director of THE TOUR Championship. "We are excited to add the single day tickets to the program and amplify our impact on the Atlanta community and the wonderful partner organizations."
Weekly Grounds Ticket Books are available for purchase now through September 18, 2009, from THE TOUR Championship Web site, www.theplayofffinale.com. Single day tickets are available through THE TOUR Championship Web site now and at Kroger stores Aug. 30 through Sept. 19, 2009. Ticket prices are as follows:
Wednesday, 9/23 - Community Day - $20
Thursday, 9/24 - $45
Friday, 9/25 - $45
Saturday, 9/26 - $60
Sunday, 9/27 - $60
Weekly Grounds Ticket Book - $150
Through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY? program, participating charities receive contributions based on the number of tickets sold in their name. All net proceeds from tickets purchased through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY? program will directly benefit participating charities, with 50 percent of net proceeds benefiting the charity selling the tickets and the remainder earmarked for the East Lake Foundation, one of THE TOUR Championship's primary charities.
Ten community partners are signed on to sell tickets through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY? program. New partners include: Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation; Hands on Atlanta; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama; and TAG Education Collaborative. The newly-added charitypartners join the Atlanta Braves Foundation, Camp Twin Lakes, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Special Olympics of Georgia and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
Since 1998, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola has donated more than $9 million to a variety of local and national charities -- including $1.4 million in 2008 alone. Primary beneficiaries are the East Lake Foundation and The First Tee. Founded in 1995 on the belief that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, the East Lake Foundation (www.eastlakefoundation.org) collaborates with public and private organizations to offer Atlanta's East Lake residents opportunities to build a better future through education for children and adults, affordable housing, job readiness and connections with the broader community. Other cities seeking to transform their neighborhoods are turning to the Foundation for best practices.
