MORE INTERVIEWS: Viking Classic transcript archive

Q. Kevin, just tell me how you're feeling going into it?

KEVIN STREELMAN: I'm excited. It's fun to be here. I've got some friends here in the area. It's a great golf course. Hopefully the rain stays away so it doesn't get too much saturated. We'll take it one shot at a time. I'm not thinking about 18 too much.

Q. How is the course right now, is it a concern if you do get more rain?

KEVIN STREELMAN: It's very wet right now, the fairways are soaked, the greens are in awesome shape. They are holding strong, but the fairways are probably a little bit of concern for everybody, very squishy out there.

Q. How about your year so far, 76 on the Money List, are you happy where you are playing?

KEVIN STREELMAN: Yes, I've had some great weeks. The Kodak Challenge has kind of come to fruition now. It's been a fun ride. It's kind of crazy, and hopefully I can hold on for a couple of more weeks.

Q. The Kodak challenge lends quite a bit, doesn't it?

KEVIN STREELMAN: Yes, it really does. And from The TOUR's perspective, it helps the field strength-wise. It's got a lot more people playing these fall events and it's really shown these first three Fall Series events, it's really awesome. All playoffs, it's been very exciting. I think it's had some good things to do with The TOUR and the fall series.

Q. Do you put any extra practice on that hole?

KEVIN STREELMAN: I went out and chipped and putted a little extra on it yesterday. Yes, I did to a degree. But once again, for me to perform my best I know I just have to look at it like any other hole and just try and have fun with it and just let it take care of itself.

Q. What kind of challenges do you think the 18th presents?

KEVIN STREELMAN: You need to hit two good shots to get there in two. Especially as wet as it is right now. It's going to depend on the wind, I know tomorrow it's supposed to be a little bit windy. I don't know if it's going to be downwind, or into the wind. If it's downwind, you will definitely be able to get there. Into the wind, you are going to have to lay up and hit a wedge in there close.
