A total of 72 players made the cut, which came at 2-under 142. Last year, the cut came in at 5-under 139. The 2-under cut is the highest at this event since it came in at even-par in 1998.

Justin Leonard shot an 8-under 64 to take a two-stroke lead over Justin Rose and George McNeill after the second round. Leonard played the Palm Course today, while Rose and McNeill played the Magnolia Course.
Kevin Streelman birdied the 485-yard, par-4 17th hole at Walt Disney World Resort's Magnolia Course to clinch the inaugural Kodak Challenge. Players must play at least 18 of the 30 Kodak Challenge holes throughout the season to compete for $1 million and the Kodak Challenge title. A player's lowest score relative to par on his best 18 Kodak Challenge holes are counted.
This marks Leonard's 10th career second-round lead/co-lead, but his first since the 2005 FedEx St. Judes Classic. He was able to turn three of his previous nine second round leads/co-leads into victory, including the 2005 FedEx St. Jude Classic.
Leonard finished T6 at the 2007 Children's Miracle Network Classic and missed the cut in his only other appearance at Disney in 2006. At this event, Leonard has eight consecutive sub-par rounds, including four rounds in the 60s, two rounds at 70 and two rounds at 71.
The second round leader/co-leader has gone on to win 16 of 43 times on TOUR this season. The last player to go one to victory after holding the 36-hole lead was Tiger Woods at the BMW Championship. The last second round leader to win at Disney was Vijay Singh in 2003.

Coming into this week, McNeill had missed the cut in five of his last six events. The only cut he made was at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open where he lost in a playoff to Martin Laird.
The Children's Miracle Network Classic is the last chance for players to move into the top 125 on the money list and earn fully-exempt status on the TOUR in 2010. David Duval was in the No. 125 spot coming into the Children's Miracle Network Classic, but missed the cut. Golfers ranked No. 125-130 before the Disney event are below:

No rookie has won on TOUR this year -- something that hasn't happened since 1998, when Steve Flesch won Rookie of the Year honors. At 45th on the money list, Australian Marc Leishman leads all rookies. Leishman was the only rookie to play in THE TOUR Championship and finished 20th in the FedExCup standings. Below are some of the rookies on TOUR this season and their rank on the money list:

Golf Channel's Big Break Winner Haymes Snedeker received a sponsor exemption for the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic. Haymes Snedeker, a municipal judge in Alabama, who played collegiately at the University of Mississippi, secured his sponsorship exemption after winning Golf Channel's "Big Break X: Michigan" in 2008. Haymes was paired with his brother Brandt who was the PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year in 2007. Snedeker has four top-five finishes this year, including T2 at the John Deere Classic. Brandt, making his first career start at the Children's Miracle Network Classic, is T33 after the second round, while brother Haymes shot a 7-over 150 to miss the cut.
