Sleeper picks: U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee

Expert   Pick order Player selected   Win McMurry CHRIS RILEY. Yes, a definIte dark horse, but he top-fived at the U.S. Bank Championship last year, and I think that will give him some renewed confidence this week. Lauren Deason JOE OGILVIE. I feel kinda guilty for taking him as a sleeper, since he won at Brown Deer Park in 2007 and tied for sixth last year. His record this year isn't superb, with only one top-25 and just nine made cuts in 19 starts, but his game is suited for this course. John Swantek NICK O'HERN. The short-but-straight-hitting Aussie can only realistically compete on a handful of courses. Brown Deer Park is the perfect track for the breakthrough win. Mike McAllister TIM PETROVIC. He has turned it around after a stretch of four missed cuts and would have finished second last week in Illinois had he played it safe on the 72nd hole, but he went for the win. That he didn't get it will only make him more hungry. Helen Ross LEE JANZEN. His tie for 23rd on Sunday would have been much better had Janzen not lost ground with a closing 73. Hopefully, he can carry the momentum of the first three rounds to Milwaukee. Brian Wacker KEVIN STREELMAN. The last two weeks, Streelman had ties for 11th at the AT&T National and eighth at the John Deere Classic. That's a trend I like, especially from a guy who has five top-15 finishes this year. Mark Spoor ROCCO MEDIATE. Sure, he hasn't had a top-10 -- or a top-20 -- all season, but in the words of the great Lou Brown in Major League, I have a hunch he's due. Ceri Mobley CARLOS FRANCO. The two-time U.S. Bank Championship winner isn't having what you'd call a great year, but where's the fun in a sleeper pick who's playing well? Then again, I am no good at sleepers, so what would I know? T.J. Auclair J.P. HAYES. This is his home game. Hayes has finished inside the top five three times in Milwaukee and outside of winning a major championship, you'd figure there's no place he'd rather win than in his home state. Ryan Smithson FRANK LICKLITER II. He finally broke through last week. He had one bad round but tied for 34th at TPC Deere run. This is the time of year where he can get into several tournaments in a row, so he can get some momentum going.
