Villegas, J. Lindeberg to launch new collection

Camilo Villegas will wear items from his new collection at the St. Jude Classic on the PGA TOUR.

LOS ANGELES -- High-end fashion and sportswear brand J.Lindeberg will launch the new "J.Lindeberg Art Polo / Camilo Villegas Collection" at the U.S. Open. The U.S. Open will be played at the Bethpage Black course in New York from June 18-21. The brand's ambassador, Camilo Villegas, will be wearing the apparel that will be available at an exclusive list of launch partners starting mid June.

J.Lindeberg recently re-signed leading PGA TOUR player Camilo Villegas, and extended their already strong relationship, by collaboratively developing the new product offering of special edition collection pieces, promoted and worn by Villegas under the J.Lindeberg brand. The collection centers around innovative technical shirts, with unique art-work screen-printed on the garments. The result is something completely new and unique to the golf world, and reflects the J.Lindeberg tradition of combining performance and fashion in golf apparel.

The collection, which was successfully launched at the '09 Orlando PGA Show in January, received strong reviews by both leading retailers and golf industry press, and was quickly sold out to the top accounts in the US, who will start selling the collection in mid June.
