Padraig shot a 1-under 71 in his first round on the PGA TOUR in 2009. Padraig's round on the North Course included a double bogey on the par-3 17th.

With four bogeys and two birdies in the second round on the South Course, Padraig shot a 2-over 74 on Friday. He'll enter the weekend tied for 50th at 1 over, 12 shots off the lead.

For the second straight day, Padraig had a difficult time on the South Course, shooting a 2-over 74. At 3-over total, Padraig will start the final round tied for 48th.

Padraig closed his final round in style with an eagle at the final hole. That, along with two birdies and a bogey, gave Padraig a 4-under 68 to vault from a tie for 48th to a tie for 24th.

Five things you should know about Padraig Harrington
His distant cousin, Dan Harrington, was the 1995 World Series of Poker champion. Harrington, known as "Action Dan," usually wears a kelly green Boston Red Sox hat at the poker table.
Advances in equipment may help explain this, but Padraig has grown from being classified as a medium hitter to one of the TOUR's bombers. In 1998, he averaged only 263 yards off the tee. In 2008, Harrington averaged 296 yards per drive.
Coached by Bob Torrance, father of 2002 Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance.
Led the TOUR in 2008 in approaches from 50-75 yards. Incredibly, Padraig hit his shots from this distance to an average of seven feet, three inches.
Shares a birthday (Aug. 31) with actor Richard Gere, musician Van Morrison and comic Chris Tucker.
