Shanks for the memories: Bob Hope golf artifacts

The World Golf Hall of Fame currently has an exhibit featuring memorabilia and momentos from Bob Hope's long career in entertainment and in golf. The exhibit, called "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory", has the largest collection of Bob Hope items on public display and will be open for all of 2009. Mark Cubbedge, Manager of Research and Collections at the World Golf Hall of Fame, shares his 10 favorite images from the museum.

SIR BOB HOPE In 1999 Hope became only the third American to receive the Knight Commander of the British Empire Medal (KBE). When he learned that Queen Elizabeth II had awarded him honorary knighthood, Hope quipped, "What an honor and what a surprise for a boy born in England, raised in Cleveland and schooled in vaudeville."
