FAMOUS FRIENDS
Seen here is a war relief spectator ticket from 1942 signed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Craig Wood, Hope, Vic Ghezzi and Babe Ruth.

Hope had many influential friends in sports, entertainment and politics. He was the only person with a standing invite to "The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson" and could walk on whenever he wanted. His best pal was Bing Crosby, a fellow golf aficionado. And how's this for a golfing buddy? Hope frequently played with Prescott Bush, the father of President George H.W. Bush and grandfather of President George W. Bush.
