Overview: Ogilvy, who sat out Saturday morning's session, wasted no time asserting himself in the afternoon when he made an 18-footer that would halve the first hole with Cink facing a tap-in birdie of his own. With that birdie, Ogilvy matched his entire total in his Four-Ball loss to Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods. Allenby then gave the Internationals their first lead with a birdie at the third and put them 2 up when he made a 6-footer at the par-5 fifth hole. Ogilvy did the honors at the seventh from 26 feet and at the 10th from 24 -- and suddenly the Internationals led 4 up. Cink's par for a win at the 11th hole gave the Americans some hope, and he briefly staved off elimination with an 11-footer for birdie at the 16th that cut the lead to 2-down. But the Internationals prevailed.

Key moment: The hours Ogilvy spent on the "bench" Saturday morning might have been the key to this match. Ogilvy needed a confidence builder and he got it, so expect the two-time winner of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship to hang tough in Singles.

Quotes: "I hit the ball a lot better today. I drove the ball a lot better. I holed a couple of nice putts. Robert holed a lot of nice putts, we combined really well. We never birdied the same hole. He birdied a hole and a few holes later I would birdie a hole. We felt like we were right on top of the match. We didn't want to come all the way to the 18th hole. Our first point this week, so more enjoyable than the first two days." -- Geoff Ogilvy

"We were very patient. We played a lot of great shots and between us we made some really good putts. So we did well. They did well just to hang in there really, because we played solid. We played really, really solid." -- Robert Allenby

Updated Presidents Cup player records: Stewart Cink (8-7-2 overall, 2-4-1 Four-Balls); Lucas Glover (2-6-0 overall, 0-4-0 Four-Balls); Robert Allenby (8-12-3 overall, 4-5-0 Four-Balls); Geoff Ogilvy (3-5-0 overall, 2-2-0 Four-Balls).
