Overview: Steady Jim Furyk proved to be the difference as he carried erratic teammate Anthony Kim for most of the match, then Kim heated up late to hold off the Internationals' Angel Cabrera and Adam Scott in a tight match in which the U.S. never trailed. Furyk was a bogey-free 3 under through 13 holes, putting the U.S. 2 up at that point. Kim, who sat out the Saturday morning Foursomes, was 2 over through that point, struggling with his accuracy off the tee (just 3 of 14 fairways hit). But Scott was even less helpful for Cabrera, carding bogeys in five of his first 14 holes without a birdie. Cabrera had to carry the Internationals and after an early bogey, he was solid with four birdies in a 10-hole stretch. Kim finally woke up with birdies at the 15th and 17th to halve the holes.

Key moment: After Cabrera drove the par-4 17th green, the U.S. -- 1 up at the time -- knew the Internationals had a birdie that could square the match. But Kim came through with a birdie putt of 6 feet, 4 inches to match Cabrera and maintain the American lead.

Quotes: "I feel like Jim held me in there really good and I owe him a lot of credit because I think the match could have been over if he had not played well, so I had a great partner." -- Anthony Kim

"I felt like in the middle of that round, early on, we could have put some distance between us and we didn't and we let them hang in there, and the last few holes a lot of birdies were made. But my man came up big, birdieing 15 and 17 and he held us in there, and that was the difference." -- Jim Furyk

Updated Presidents Cup player records: Jim Furyk (15-9-3 overall, 6-5-0 Four-Balls); Anthony Kim (2-1-0 overall, 1-1-0 Four-Balls); Angel Cabrera (3-6-3 overall, 1-3-2 Four-Balls); Adam Scott (8-9-2 overall, 3-4-1 Four-Balls).
