SAN FRANCISCO -- Here's an in-depth look at Friday's Four-Ball match between the United States duo of Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods and the Internationals' Angel Cabrera and Geoff Ogilvy.

Overview: The American juggernaut continued with their second lopsided win. Stricker and Woods set the tone for the day with birdies on the first hole. Cabrera did square the match briefly with a 9-foot birdie putt at the third hole, but Stricker and Woods answered with birdies on Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, and never looked back. Woods put the Americans 3 up when he rolled in a 13-footer at the eighth hole, and the U.S. won the 14th with a par. The match ended with a conceded birdie at the 15th after the Internationals both missed from the fringe.

Key moment: The consecutive birdies at the fifth and sixth holes gave the powerful Americans, who are ranked Nos. 1 and 3 in the world, an edge they would not relinquish. Woods and Stricker have been so strong they have yet to play the last three holes this week.

Quote: "I think Steve and I gel well together and in this format you have to make a bunch of birdies and we did for most of the day. Unfortunately we didn't have two balls in play most of the time." -- Tiger Woods

"Hitting first I felt a lot of times I should put it on the side of the green, to tell you the truth, and let great iron play take over. And that's what I found myself doing a lot is aiming away and trying to put it in the center, so at least he could feel comfortable taking dead aim and knowing that I was going to get at least a par.

"It was difficult, from yesterday to today, it's a different format, but we've been doing well and hopefully we get back at it again tomorrow. It's been a lot of fun and hopefully we continue with it, and it was a good day. We helped each other out along the way, and Tiger played great coming down the stretch as always and it was a good day." -- Steve Stricker

Updated Presidents Cup player records: Steve Stricker (7-5-0 overall, 3-2-0 Four-Ball); Tiger Woods (15-11-1 overall, 4-7-0 Four-Ball); Angel Cabrera (3-5-3 overall, 1-2-2 Four-Ball); Geoff Ogilvy (2-5-0 overall, 1-2-0 Four-Ball).
