Overview: These two teams were well-matched -- halving three of the first five holes with birdies. The Internationals did gain an advantage early, though, winning the third when Allenby made a 15-footer for birdie and the sixth to an American bogey. The next eight holes were halved with pars while the Americans kept waiting for the opening they got when Allenby found the fairway bunker at the 15th hole. An International bogey there and the U.S. deficit was 1 down. Then Glover set Cink up with a 3-footer for birdie at the 16th hole that squared the match. Just as quickly, though, the edge was gone as the Internationals regained the upper hand at the driveable par-4 17th. Allenby's drive landed to the right of the greenside bunker while Glover drove the green. Singh then hit a wedge to 9 feet while Cink putted to 6 feet. Allenby was the only one to make the putt, though, staking the Internationals to a 1-up advantage with one hole to go. A pair of birdies at the par-5 18th then gave the Internationals their second win of the afternoon.

Key moment: One made. One missed. Allenby, who came into The Presidents Cup ranked 189th in putting, came up with the clutch birdie at No. 17 to gain the edge for the Internationals while Glover missed from 6 feet.

Quote: "Today my focus, like Vijay's, was to try to get a pont for us. It was important to focus on what were were doing, and we did it very well. We were up against two major champions. They are both hell of a players. We knew they would hang in there." - Robert Allenby

Updated Presidents Cup player records: Lucas Glover (2-4-0 overall, 2-1-0 Foursomes); Stewart Cink (8-5-1 overall, 4-2-0 Foursomes); Vijay Singh (15-15-6 overall, 6-6-3 Foursomes); Robert Allenby (7-11-2 overall, 4-5-1 Foursomes).
