This World Golf Hall of Fame member hopes to lead the International Team to its first victory in the United States.
Few players in the game's history -- or indeed, in any sport -- have cut as dashing a figure as Greg Norman. His good looks, combined with an aggressive style of play, made him a charismatic figure in the Arnold Palmer mold, and the public responded by making him one of golf's most popular players.
None of this would have counted, of course, if he didn't have the game to go with it and 20 PGA TOUR victories and 70 international wins -- including two British Opens -- prove that he has just that. Since turning 50 in 2005, he has played a bit more competitive golf, particularly in the Champions Tour's major championships, and he has acquitted himself very well for a man whose time and attention is largely focused upon a sprawling international business empire.

The next week, he shared the first-round lead at the U.S. Senior Open at Crooked Stick Golf Club and trailed eventual winner Fred Funk by just one stroke after 54 holes.
