The Subaru Victorian Open will kick-start the 2009 PGA Tour of Australasia summer on January 29 with the Tour calendar featuring six events in seven weeks, highlighted by the prestigious Johnnie Walker Classic and culminating with the Michael Hill New Zealand Open in Queenstown.

The Michael Hill New Zealand Open will see the Tour travel to the picturesque Hills Course in Arrowtown, thirty minutes from the holiday paradise of Queenstown on New Zealand's South Island. Englishman Richard Finch walked away the victor in 2007, and hometown hero Sir Bob Charles captured the imagination of all present after shooting his age on four consecutive days. Almost 40,000 spectators flocked to the Michael Hill New Zealand Open in 2007 and with the final chance to capture a Nationwide Tour title on home soil for 2009 the competition will be fierce.
