The third annual South Georgia Classic is this week in Valdosta, Ga., with the 7,781-yard Kinderlou Forest Golf Club again giving players plenty of chances to hit driver during their rounds. Kinderlou Forest is the longest course on the Nationwide Tour. Designed by PGA TOUR veteran Davis Love III, Kinderlou was eighth in difficulty on Tour last year, averaging 73.99 strokes.

Two holes on the front nine -- Nos. 2 and 4 -- are longer than 600 yards, and the closing hole is a 501-yard par 4.

Bryan DeCorso hit 71 percent of his fairways a year ago and took advantage of the 566-yard 11th, making three birdies and an eagle there, to roll to a four-stroke victory over Bryce Molder and Greg Owen. DeCorso will defend his title this week.

Also in the field is champion of the inaugural tournament in 2007 John Kimbell. Last year, Kimbell missed the cut and was unable to defend his title.

With all that said, let's see who Mobley thinks can succeed in the 2009 Athens Regional Foundation Classic.

Rank Player   Comment Cameron PERCY Aussie Cameron Percy struggled on his side of the world (T47, CUT, CUT), but he's had his A game Stateside. Coming off ties for second and ninth the last two weeks, he heads to Valdosta fourth in driving distance and first on this list. Alistair PRESNELL Fourth on the money list with a win and two top-30 finishes, Presnell is a good pick this week for his steady play this season. He's also second on Tour in driving, which is a big plus on the Tour's longest course. Martin PILLER Once again, this rookie makes an appearance. He didn't do anything spectacular in Athens last week, but you can't fight his rhythm, and there's nothing wrong with a top-25 finish. How long can he keep it going? Richard JOHNSON The Welshman has been nothing but consistent this season -- when he makes the weekend -- and at 36th on the money list, he's doing OK. He missed the cut last week, but he's 11th in driving distance so should fare well here. Daniel SUMMERHAYS Summerhays is coming off a tie for fourth last week in Athens, and he tied for ninth at this tourament last year. He's 18th on the money list and a proven Tour winner. He's got what it takes to succeed this week.
