After a two-week break, the Nationwide Tour picks up play this week at the 18th BMW Charity Pro-Am in the Carolinas. This is the only Nationwide Tour event where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses.

Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between Brights Creek Golf Club (N.C.), Carolina Country Club (S.C.) and Thornblade Club (S.C.), which is the host course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday's final round at Thornblade Club.

The cut is after 54 holes this week as opposed to the typical 36-hole cut. Last year, David Mathis had a convincing three-stroke win over Roger Tambellini. Mathis went on to earn his 2009 PGA TOUR card by finishing No. 14 on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list. So far this year, Mathis has made nine of 11 cuts and is 111th in the FedExCup standings.

The field of 168 players is deep, consisting of seven of the eight tournament winners this year.

With all that said, let's see who should succeed in the BWM Charity Pro-Am.

Rank Player   Comment Michael SIM Sim has earned the most money ($241,417) in the shortest amount of time in Nationwide Tour history. In six events, he already has four top-10 finishes, including a win at the Stonebrae Classic. Garth MULROY The South African won the South Georgia Classic two weeks ago and hasn't missed a cut this season. He's also the closest to Sim on the money list with $151,241. Jonas BLIXT In 26 rounds, he's shot in the 60s 10 times. The Swedish rookie led after the fist round of the South Georgia Classic with a 66 (6 under) on the Tour's longest course (Kinderlou Forest). It's only a matter of time before he wins. Adam BLAND This rookie had two top-10 finishes in the beginning of the season while Down Under in Australia and New Zealand. He's currently No. 25 on the money list, and this will be the Aussie's first event in the United States. Roger TAMBELLINI The last three times he's played this event, he's been runner-up, T7 and T5. He has two Nationwide Tour career wins to his name (Alberstons Boise Open/2003 and Price Cutter Charity Championship/2005) and has made five of six cuts this year.
