Boise and Hillcrest Country Club will be hosting the Nationwide Tour and the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft for the 20th consecutive year. Boise joins Knoxville, Tenn., (Knoxville Open), Springfield, Mo., (Price Cutter Charity Championship), and Wichita, Kan., (Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open), as the only cities to have continuously hosted events every year since the Tour's inception in 1990.
The Albertsons Boise Open has generated more than $9.5 million for charities, making it the leader on Tour.
It should be an exciting week in Boise. In the 19 years of this tournament, the average winning score has been 15.42-under par, so expect a birdiefest at Hillcrest. Chris Tidland won in 2008 with a 20-under 264, but that wasn't the lowest winning score in tournament history. One year earlier, Jon Mills was one shot better at 21-under 263.
