Champions Tour veteran Peter Jacobsen underwent successful surgery to repair the rotator cuff in his left shoulder on Friday, Jan. 16.
The injury had prompted Jacobsen to withdraw from last weekend's Wendy's Champions Skins Game. The surgery was performed By Dr. Michael Havig of Naples, Fla.
"During my preparation for the 2009 season, I damaged the rotator cuff in my left shoulder," Jacobsen said. "I decided that it was best to fix the problem now. ... The surgery went extremely well, and Dr. Havig and I couldn't be happier with the results.
"I am currently undergoing a rehabilitation program that will help strengthen my shoulder and get me back out on Tour this spring."
