STAN BADZ'S BIOGRAPHY

Stan Badz is a Photo Official/Senior Staff Photographer who has been with the PGA TOUR for over 16 years. He travels to over 20 events per year covering all three Tours. His work has been published in all of the major golf publications. He has over 30 years of professional photography experience and is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a degree in Photojournalism. He started his photo career as a stringer for the Associated Press in Miami shooting professional sports and news. His first job after graduation was a three-year stint as a staff photographer/photo editor at the Jackson Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss., where he won a variety of photojournalism awards from NPPA, AP, and Gannett Newspapers.
He spent the next nine years as a staff photographer/photo editor at the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Fla. His daily assignments gave him the opportunity to shoot news, sports, features, fashion and food illustrations. His most rewarding and memorable photo assignment was covering the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Stan grew up in south Florida and has always lived close to the coast. He enjoys surfing and fishing with his family and getting away from it all in Hawaii. As one of the TOUR's staff photographers, Stan has traveled all over the world shooting professional golf. His many years of getting to know the players has allowed him special friendships while on the road with his extended TOUR family.
