WEST POMERANIA, Poland -- Just three months after opening, Gary Player's first course in Poland, Modry Las Golf Club, has been selected as one of the Top 100 European golf courses in Golf World's recently published list.

As the only course in Poland to make the rankings, Modry Las puts Poland on the world golfing map and adds to the Gary Player Design portfolio of over 300 golf courses across five continents.

At the Grand Opening this past July, the Black Knight remarked, "Our design at Modry Las is world class, and it is surrounded by beautiful countryside -- wild flowers, mature trees and lakes -- just a beautiful setting." The course is characterized by distinct and dramatic bunkering and has already hosted its first tournament on the Polish PGA Tour.

The ownership at Modry Las is also working with the Polish Government to develop a youth program in Poland, a cause that is close to Gary Player's heart.

Located just outside of Choszczno in the West Pomerania region of Poland, Modry Las is within close proximity to the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia, as well the German border and Berlin. This region of rolling countryside with abundant virgin forests and lakes has historically been a popular summer resort destination. With the emergence of golf in the area, tourism is sure to thrive in the growing, refurbished regions of North Central Europe. For more information on Modry Las, visit www.modrylas.pl.
