PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Professional Caddies Association is now accepting nominees for the 2009 PCA Worldwide Caddie Hall of Fame inductions.

Nominations may be made on-line at the PCA website. You can also mail a nomination to 23 Mala Compra Road, Palm Coast, Fla., 32137. The induction ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

Candidates must have had 10 years of caddie service, shown support for the game of golf, worked to help improve the life of the caddie and others, or have had a positive impact on the caddying profession and the kids.

"We want more people around the world to know about the 500-year-old profession that is coming back and teaches positive life and social skills," said Dennis Cone, PCA Worldwide Caddie Foundation president. "We're reaching out to the public along with the golfing industry and asking everyone to get involved in what we are doing. It's a process over time.

"As people find out about it (the Caddie Hall of Fame and PCA) they say, 'This guy or lady should be in.' We want to have a caddie from every country in the world represented and sharing their start in golf someday".

Based on the information gathered, the 10 members of the nominating committee, made up of PGA TOUR golfers, professional caddies, golf writers, PCA board members and other dignitaries, will cast their votes.

The PCA Hall of Fame has the following divisions: the oldest working caddie , male and female; the best caddie, male and female; caddie manger/master; caddie/coach and notable people who started as caddies.
