On which devices is the PGA TOUR iPhone app available?

The PGA TOUR iPhone app works with OS 3.0 on the iPhone 3G S, iPhone 3G, the original iPhone, and the iPod touch. You will need to update your iPhone or iPod touch software before you can install the PGA TOUR iPhone app. Please be aware that Apple is making the iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update free for iPhone users, but a $9.95 (U.S.) fee will be required by iPod touch users.

How much does it cost?

The PGA TOUR iPhone app is free to download and will work throughout the entire season.

How do I get the PGA TOUR iPhone app?

The PGA TOUR iPhone app is available in the App Store, both via iTunes and on your device.

The video highlights look grainy/pixelated, what's wrong?

The iPhone can connect at a variety of data speeds including EDGE, 3G, and WiFi. 3G iPhones connect to both the EDGE and 3G network, so depending on your location, you might end up on an EDGE network even if you have an iPhone 3G. Devices on a WiFi network will have the highest quality video, followed by 3G connected devices, and finally EDGE network connected devices.

How do I get the updated version of the PGA TOUR iPhone app?

The Apple App Store will notify you when new releases of your applications, including the PGA TOUR iPhone app, are available. A red circle will appear on the App Store Badge on your iPhone Home Screen. When you open the App Store, you will arrive on the updates screen listing applications with new versions ready to download.

Select the PGA TOUR iPhone app item to automatically download the new version.

How do I update my favorite player settings?

To add a player to your My Leaderboard section, simply press the "+" symbol next to his name anywhere you see him listed in a leaderboard or standings section. You can also add a favorite player from the Players section by pressing the "+" next to his name. From a player scorecard or bio page, simply press the "+" on the upper left hand corner of his photo to add to favorites. Please note that only favorite players who are in the field for the current tournament will show up in the "My Leaderboard" section of the leaderboard.

To remove a player from your "My Leaderboard," simply press the "-" symbol in any of the same circumstances mentioned above.

How do I get live data in the PGA TOUR iPhone application to update?

The application is configured to update live data automatically, however you can manually update the data at any time by gently shaking your device.

How many tournaments will have LIVE@ streaming coverage in the PGA TOUR iPhone app?

The PGA TOUR iPhone app will stream all LIVE@ coverage from PGATOUR.COM. For 2009, all four Playoff events will have LIVE@ coverage. Additionally, select tournaments throughout 2010 will also offer LIVE@ coverage.

Are there any LIVE@ streaming video blackouts?

There no blackout restrictions for LIVE@ streaming coverage.

The LIVE@ streaming broadcast keeps cutting in and out. What's going on?

There are several factors that affect video playback performance.

1. Trouble getting a connection.

2. Switching between edge and 3G networks

3. Overall network congestion on either the carrier network or your WiFi network

One symptom of connectivity trouble is additional drain on battery life as the phone searches for a connection. If problems persist, please contact mobile customer service.

Mobile networks are subject to congestion from multiple sources. Even users on 3G or WiFi networks may see periodic drop-offs in data availability due to differing degrees of signal strength. As bandwidth returns, the video quality should improve.
