SAINT-OMER, France (AP) -- Wade Ormsby of Australia eagled his last hole Friday to shoot a 6-under 65 and lead by one stroke after the second round of the Saint-Omer Open.
The 634th-ranked Ormsby also made five birdies and a bogey to total 7-under 135.
James Morrison of England (69) is next. Christian Nilsson of Sweden (69) is a shot further back.
"I stood on the ninth tee thinking about a birdie, so to chip in for eagle was a big bonus," said Ormsby, whose best result this year was a share of 25th place at the Italian Open in May. "It was a great end to a very pleasing round."
Nilsson made four birdies on the front nine to top the leaderboard early in the afternoon after overnight leader Fredrik Andersson Hed made bogeys on the second and third holes.
But Nilsson bogeyed his last hole while Morrison sank a birdie on the ninth.
"The only bogey I made was down to a plugged lie in the bunker," Morrison said. "But to have only one bogey after 36 holes here must mean I'm playing pretty well. So I'm very happy."
