In 1938, professional golfers donated $10,000 to charity at the Palm Beach Invitational, a grand gesture at the time and one that established a culture of giving that has guided the PGA TOUR for decades. A recent CBS special, "PGA TOUR: Playing With a Purpose presented by Barclays" recently focused on the TOUR's charitable aspects. Jim Nantz hosts these heartwarming tales of success.

David Toms' Friendship House in Louisiana The David Toms Foundation impacts many local organizations, giving more than $3 million since 2003. PGA TOUR wives stage "Pink Out" day for cancer Just 10 days after Amy Mickelson was diagnosed with breast cancer, the PGA TOUR wives teamed with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to stage a "Pink Out" in support of Amy and the 200,000 women a year diagnosed with breast cancer. • Click for video |
Tiger Woods Foundation is still going strong In 1996 Tiger Woods and his father Earl created the Tiger Woods Foundation, a decade later, the first Tiger Woods Learning Center opened its doors in Anaheim, Calif. PGA TOUR helps honor U.S. Navy SEAL Michael Anthony Monsoor One of the PGA TOUR military outreach charities is the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, which helps naval personnel and their families in times of need.
