PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The seventh and eighth moments in the Nationwide Tour's "20 Greatest Moments" program were unveiled over the weekend on Golf Channel's telecasts of the Melwood Prince George's County (Md.) Open and on PGATOUR.COM.

The moments featured Notah Begay III's first 59 in Nationwide Tour history at the 1998 Dominion Open near Richmond, Va. and Daniel Chopra's record-smashing 30-under-par performance in the same tournament six years later.

1998: Notah Begay III Posts First 59 In Nationwide Tour History
In May 1998, Tiger Woods' college teammate Notah Begay III closes with two birdies to record the first 59 in Nationwide Tour history at The Dominion Club outside Richmond, Va. He joins Al Geiberger and Chip Beck as the only players to break 60 in a PGA-TOUR sanctioned event. Four weeks later Doug Dunakey would match Begay's 59 near Dayton, Ohio, as would Jason Gore in 2005. WATCH video

2004: Daniel Chopra Smashes 72-Hole Scoring Record
In May 2004, Swedish-born Daniel Chopra shatters the Nationwide Tour's 72-hole scoring record by four shots with a 30-under-par effort en route to victory at The Dominion Club near Richmond, Va. Firing on all cylinders throughout the week, Chorpa hits 46 of 56 fairways and 61 of 72 greens, recording birdies on 17 of Dominion's 18 holes and only two bogies all week, both in round three. His performance remains the lowest under-par score in Tour history. WATCH video

The 12 remaining "Greatest Moments" will be unveiled during the next six Golf Channel telecasts of Nationwide Tour tournaments which will air between June and September, and on PGATOUR.COM. Two new moments will be featured each week.

The Nationwide Tour Players Cup (June 25-28) is Golf Channel's next Nationwide Tour event. The final two moments will be revealed during the Albertsons Boise Open (Sept. 17-20).

The No. 1 moment in Nationwide Tour history will be announced on GOLF CHANNEL and PGATOUR.COM on the final day of the season (Oct. 25) during the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island (S.C.). The greatest moment will be based on a fan vote conducted on PGATOUR.COM that will commence after all 20 moments have been revealed.

Throughout the 2009 season, all moments that have been unveiled will be available for viewing on PGATOUR.COM. (Click here)
