Arguably one of the foremost golf resorts in Australia, Moonah Links Resort offers two world-class championship golf courses, each boasting superior course conditions which assure year round playability.

The Open Course was designed by Peter Thomson, the five-time British Open champion, specifically to host the Australian Open. At 6,829 metres from the black tees, this championship links course boasts a natural stadium layout with wide undulating fairways of pure couch grass -- punctuated with pot bunkers -- and features large multi-tiered greens. At 5,881 from the white tees this course can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels.

The Open Course has played host to the 2003 and 2005 Australian Open Golf Championship, and has been contracted to host Australia's National Championship five more times in the coming years. Similarly, the Open Course hosted the Moonah Classic in 2008 and 2009 -- a Nationwide Tour event with a prize purse of $850,000.00 -- one of the largest ever offered on the tour. The Moonah Classic is the only event on Australian soil that is co-sanctioned with the Nationwide Tour. The aforementioned events, all telecast internationally, have cemented Moonah Links' profile on the world's golf stage as arguably one of the premier golf resorts in Australia.

The Legends Course at Moonah Links stands as a tribute to past champions who have contributed to the rich history of Australian golf.

In contrast to the Open Course, which was purposely built to challenge the modern champion, the Legends Course is a more friendly golfing experience for players of all ages and abilities. The course is a loop of 18 holes that generally follows the valleys through a variety of landscapes, ranging from ancient Moonah woodlands to open links land. The fairways are generous and the putting surfaces gentle, but the bunkering style is bold and wild in appearance. At 6,320 metres, the course is fun but it won't be a pushover.

Designed by Ross Perrett in conjunction with Australasian Golf Design, the Legends Course boasts panoramic views from raised tees and has played host to a number of high profile events, including the eNett Ashes Golf Challenge, which saw England take on Australia. Alan Border and Ian Botham captained their respective teams which consisted of past and present cricketing legends.

Complimenting the course facilities are a driving range and practice facilities designed to Australian Institute of Sport specifications. It also houses one of the finest elite training facilities in world golf -- The Moonah Links Golf Academy -- home to Golf Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport elite player development programs.

With the largest fleet of motorized golf carts in Victoria, 96 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, restaurant, spike bar, extensive banquet and conference facilities, day spa and ancillary recreational facilities such as a swimming pool and tennis courts, Moonah Links Resort constitutes one of the finest, most comprehensive golf resorts in Australia.
