Unlike the first two seasons of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, no player will be able to clinch the championship prior to THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. Thanks to a restructured points system, the top five players in the standings going into East Lake will be able to determine their own fate, with the other 25 players having at least a mathematical chance of winning.
