At second in the FedExCup standings, Zach Johnson is the highest player in the field this week and needs just seven points to pass Phil Mickelson for first place -- seven points is the equivalent of a 64th-place finish.
Three other players can take over first place as well this week -- Brian Gay, Kenny Perry, and Lucas Glover.
There are only five players in the field who are not currently in the top 10 in the standings that have a chance to move into the top 10.
Pat Perez in 25th place is the lowest player in the standings who could crack the top 10.

| Hunter Mahan |
| • Currently 35th in the FedExCup standings, Mahan could move as high as 11th with a victory this week, and since he has tied for second, won, and tied for second in the last three Travelers Championships, it is quite possible Mahan will make a big move in the standings. • Mahan has made the cut in each of his 15 starts this season and is averaging about 46 points per start. • A tie for sixth at last week's U.S. Open moved Mahan up six places in the FedExCup standings. • Mahan enters the week ranked in the top 25 in greens in regulation, birdie conversion percentage and average distance of putts made per round. |
