ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Larry Nelson brought a different son and wound up in a familiar spot as he and Drew Nelson put together an 11-under 61 to share the lead with Tom and David Kite in the Del Webb Father/Son Championship on Saturday.

Greg Norman and his son Gregory were another shot behind in the scramble format.

Nelson, a three-time major champion and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, won the challenge last year at ChampionsGate with 29-year-old Josh Nelson, his youngest son. Drew Nelson, 32, won the title with his father four years ago.

"We didn't play particularly well individually, but were able to score well as a team," Larry Nelson said. "It seemed like we never played well on the same holes, so we were really able to help each other out there. Drew made a lot of nice putts. All in all, we could have been better."

Kite, a former U.S. Open champion, and son David were three shots behind until a 7-under 28 on the back nine caught the Nelsons. David Kite, 24, first played in this popular event nine years ago.

"It's a thrill for me to be able to play with David," Kite said. "I find myself being more of a spectator and cheerleader than a participant out there. That was one of David's best rounds today. He is really the reason that we played so well today."

The group at 63 included Davis Love III and son Dru, Bernhard Langer and son Stefan, and Raymond Floyd and Raymond Jr.

Paul Azinger and Aaron Stewart, son of the late Payne Stewart, shot a 68. Aaron Stewart previously played with Lee Janzen.

Arnold Palmer got the better of Jack Nicklaus, teaming with grandson Sam Saunders for a 64, while Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II shot a 69.
