• The back nine has been good to Andy Bean through two rounds. The former Florida Gator golfer is a combined 8-under-par on the back nine and is 10-under-par overall.

Nick Price, who trails leader Andy Bean by one stroke, is the lone player in the 29-man field without a bogey after 36 holes.

• Here is where the players still eligible for the Charles Schwab Cup points title stand after 36 holes. Only players finishing in the top 10 receive double points in this event.

Name Charles Schwab Cup Rank Current Charles Schwab Cup Points Current Tournament Position
Jay Haas 1st 2,556 T9
Fred Funk 2nd 2,544 28th
Bernhard Langer 3rd 2,460 T22
Eduardo Romero 4th 2,032 T22
John Cook 5th 1,867 T9

• The oldest player in the field, Tom Jenkins, who is seven weeks shy of his 61st birthday, needed just 25 putts to fire the lowest round of the day, an 8-under-par 64. It was one shy of the tournament record. His performance today, which vaulted him 21 spots up the leaderboard to T3, also matches his lowest round of the year (2nd Rd- ACE Group Classic; 1st Rd- Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn).

• One day after there were no eagles, Bernhard Langer posted the event's first on the par-5 16th hole.
