| Military members and family invited to attend for freeMar. 14, 2008The World Golf Championships--CA Championship is opening its doors to all active military personnel and their immediate family free of charge. The CA Championship, which will be held at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa from March 18-23, 2008, will allow all active military personnel with a valid identification card to enter the tournament for free, tournament officials announced. In addition, all Department of Defense Civilian Personnel with a valid military identification card will receive special rates of $25 for a regular grounds ticket (Thursday-Sunday) and a rate of $15 for the practice rounds (Tuesday and Wednesday). The World Golf Championships -- CA Championship will host the top players in the world including the top 30 from the PGA TOUR's 2007 FedExCup Rankings, the top 50 from the Official World Golf Ranking and the top 30 from the 2007 European Tour's Order of Merit. Fans can expect to see Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Camilo Villegas and Sergio Garcia. Woods is a six-time winner at the CA Championship and has won the last three events at Doral. The international field includes players from 19 different countries that play in the PGA TOUR, European Tour, Australian Tour, Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour, or Sunshine Tour. "This is just one small way which we honor the men and women who proudly serve this country," said Executive Director Eddie Carbone. "We appreciate the sacrifices they make by putting their lives on the line to protect our freedom. We are privileged to invite them and their families to join us for a week of stellar competition and relaxation at the CA Championship."
