| Field nearly complete for World Golf Championships-CA ChampionshipMar. 4, 2008DORAL, Fla. - Players who have not already qualified for the World Golf Championships-CA Championship can find themselves in the field for the second World Golf Championships event of the season by finishing this week in the top 10 in the PGA TOUR's FedExCup points standings, the top 10 of the European Tour's Order of Merit or in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking by the March 10 deadline. Players will have another chance to earn placement in the field in the same categories on March 17. While many of the top players in the world like defending champion Tiger Woods, last week's Honda Classic winner Ernie Els or the No. 2 player in the world Phil Mickelson have already qualified, several players remain on the bubble for the CA Championship, which will be played March 17-23 at Doral Golf Resort & Spa. FBR Open winner J.B. Holmes is currently ranked No. 5 in the 2008 FedExCup points standings and will likely finish this week in the top 10 to earn a spot in the field. Holmes will be playing in his first CA Championship and the third World Golf Championships event of his career. Holmes nearly defeated eventual champion Tiger Woods in one of the most memorable matches at this year's World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. Other players who have all but guaranteed themselves a spot in the event include England's Luke Donald (No. 14 in the Official World Golf Ranking), Justin Leonard (No. 33 in the Official World Golf Ranking), Germany's 22-year-old Martin Kaymer (No. 3 on the European Tour's Order of Merit) and South Africa's Trevor Immelman (No. 21 in the OWGR). "It's an exciting time for the World Golf Championships-CA Championship," said Executive Director Eddie Carbone. "This is one of the elite fields of golf each year. Players at the top of their game from around the world can get into this event. It will be great to see who can qualify with a good finish this week." | HEADLINES
