RENO, Nev. -- Parker McLachlin fired a 2-over 74 on Sunday at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open to finish at 18-under-par 270, seven strokes ahead of Brian Davis (75) and John Rollins (71). It represents the second-largest winning margin on TOUR this season, behind Tiger Woods' eight-shot win at the Buick Invitational. The previous largest margin of victory at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open was Steve Flesch's five-stroke win in 2007.

• Making his 52nd career PGA TOUR start, Parker McLachlin earns 2,250 FedExCup points to move to No. 47 in the FedExCup standings, with 5,502 points. In the process he solidifies his spot with just two weeks to go before the beginning of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup.

• With the victory, Parker McLachlin earns a spot in next week's PGA Championship. He will be paired with Greg Kraft and Rick Leibovich at 9:35 a.m. during the first round.

• Parker McLachlin's first victory comes in his second appearance at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. He finished tied for 37th in 2007. Coincidentally, the win comes the same week as fellow Hawaiian Michelle Wie -- who he has played numerous practice rounds with over the years -- made her eighth start in a PGA TOUR event (the most ever by a female).

• McLachlin's win by the numbers: Notches the 14th win this season by a former Nationwide Tour member and the 231st overall; becomes the fifth player to win his first PGA TOUR event at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open; marks the fifth time (four players) a player in his 20s has won the tournament; becomes the 11th player in his 20s to win on TOUR in 2008; becomes the ninth first-time winner on the PGA TOUR in 2008; is the third Hawaiian-born player to win on TOUR since 1990, joining Dean Wilson (2006 The International) and David Ishii (1990 Hawaiian Open).

Brenden Pappas (Nos. 4 & 9) became the third player this week with two eagles in a round, joining Kevin Streelman (Rd. 1) and Jonathan Byrd (Rd. 3).

• Bogey-free rounds on Sunday were turned in by John Riegger (66), Jonathan Byrd (67), Rob Grube (68) and Jeff Overton (70).

• Both Parker McLachlin (74) and Brian Davis (75) failed in their bid on Sunday to post all four rounds in the 60s. Throughout the history of the 10-year event, the feat has been performed three times: Jonathan Kaye (2002 and 2005) and Tag Ridings (2005).

Martin Laird birdied fives holes in a row (Nos. 2-6) on Sunday on his way to a 6-under 66 and a tie for fourth -- his first career top-10. Laird is playing his rookie season on TOUR, with this week's play propelling him from No. 182 to No. 164 on the FedExCup points list.

• In addition to Laird, Harrison Frazar (tied for fourth) and Mark Wilson (tied for eighth) also posted their first top-10 finishes of the season.

Charles Warren led the field this week by hitting 52 of 56 fairways in regulation. Ryan Armour led the field in greens hit in regulation, connecting on 55 of 72. Mark Wilson led the field with 1.472 putts per round.

• The third-round leader/co-leader at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open has now won six of 10 times -- including the last four champions (Vaughn Taylor in 2005, Will MacKenzie in 2006, Steve Flesch in 2007 and Parker McLachlin in 2008).

• The third-round leader/co-leader has now gone on to win 19 of 34 stroke-play events on the PGA TOUR in 2008.

Joe Ogilvie finished tied for 21st this week for his fourth top-25 finish in his last four starts at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open (tied for ninth in 2004, tied for 23rd in 2005 and third in 2006).

• The final-round scoring average at the par-72 Montreux Golf & Country Club was 72.986, bringing the cumulative average for the week to 72.290. The par-4 eighth hole played the hardest this week, at 4.297, while the par-5 fourth hole was the easiest, at 4.641. Parker McLachlin was 1 under on No. 8 this week and 3 under on No. 4.
