RENO, Nev. -- Parker McLachlin had a streak of 37 consecutive bogey-free holes, going back to the first round. After starting on the front nine Thursday, McLachlin bogeyed the second hole (his 11th) and was par or better until the 13th hole Saturday, when he bogeyed. During the streak he had 21 pars, 15 birdies and one eagle.

Jonathan Byrd had two eagles Saturday, at the fourth and the 11th holes. Four other players have had two eagles this week: Neal Lancaster, Kevin Streelman, Omar Uresti and Charles Warren.

• Both of Neal Lancaster's eagles came at No. 4 this week. He's also eagled that hole in 1999 and 2003. In the history of the Reno-Tahoe Open, Steve Flesch, Harrison Frazar and Bill Glasson lead the way with five eagles each.

Chip Sullivan fired a front-nine 30 Saturday and finished at 7-under 65 to tie for 10th through 54 holes. Sullivan, the 2007 PGA Professional National Championship winner, had six birdies and three pars on his front nine. Sullivan is playing on the weekend for the third time this year. He is tied for 10th. His other made cuts this year were at the Puerto Rico Open presented by Banco Popular (tied for 61st) and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (tied for 33rd).

• Parker McLachlin picked up his first eagle of the tournament when he made a 2 at the par-4 fifth hole. It was the eighth eagle at that hole in tournament history and the first since 2006. McLachlin's tee shot on the 344-yard hole landed 9 feet, five inches from the cup, and he made the putt.

Brian Davis is currently 107th on the FedExCup points list and looks to solidify his position in the points standings this week as he will enter the final round in second place. Davis, who celebrated his 34th birthday Saturday, is working on a streak of six consecutive cuts made. His top finish this year came early in the season at The Honda Classic. He tied for seventh.

• Two players have shot their first three rounds in the 60s this week. They are Parker McLachlin (68-62-66) and Brian Davis (67-67-68). A year ago, no players had four sub-70 rounds.

John Huston is in position to earn his top finish of the 2008 season. Going into Sunday's final round, he is tied for 10th. At the AT&T Classic in suburban Atlanta earlier this season, the 47-year-old Huston tied for 11th.

Bob Heintz is looking for his first top 10 of the season. Heintz, who recorded the longest drive this week -- a 435-yarder on the par-4 10th in the first round -- enters the final round tied for 10th. He tied for 11th at the Stanford St. Jude Championship in Memphis for his best finish of 2008. The longest recorded drive Saturday belonged to Charles Warren. He had a 402-yarder on No. 9.

• The third-round leader/co-leader at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open has won five of nine times -- including the last three champions (Vaughn Taylor in 2005, Will MacKenzie in 2006 and Steve Flesch in 2007).

• The third-round leader has gone on to win 17 of 32 stroke-play events on the PGA TOUR in 2008, including most recently Chez Reavie at the RBC Canadian Open.

• Large 54-hole leads aren't uncommon at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. Vaughn Taylor (six strokes in 2005) and Steve Flesch (five strokes in 2007) held the largest third-round leads in tournament history, followed closely by Notah Begay III's four-shot cushion in 1999. In addition, Will MacKenzie shared the 54-hole lead with Bob Estes (by four strokes over their nearest competitors) before claiming victory in 2006, while Tim Herron and Craig Barlow were tied at the top in 2003 (by four shots over their nearest challengers) before a final-round 63 propelled Kirk Triplett to a come-from-behind win.

Joe Ogilvie recorded a 72 Saturday and sits in a tie for sixth place on the leaderboard. Making his eighth career start at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open, Ogilvie has found his rhythm at the event after a relatively slow start (a tie for 37th is his best showing in his first four starts). He enters Sunday's final round seeking his third top-10 finish in his last four starts here. He tied for ninth in 2004, tied for 23rd in 2005 and was third in 2006). The third-place finish two years ago was set up by a stellar course-record-tying 10-under 62 on the final day.

• The largest 54-hole lead this season is held by Tiger Woods, who led by eight at the Buick Invitational entering the final round. Parker McLachlin now owns the second-largest lead with his six-stroke cushion going into Sunday's final round. Brian Gay is next on the list, having held a five-stroke lead through 54 holes at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

• The third-round scoring average at the par-72 Montreux Golf & Country Club was 71.521, bringing the cumulative average for the week to 72.141. The par-3 16 hole played the hardest Saturday, at 3.423, while the par-5 9th hole was the easiest, at 4.507.
