Tickets on sale for World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play

With the 2008 PGA TOUR season coming to a close, the highly anticipated 2009 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship is right around the corner. Fans interested in seeing the top 64 players in the world square off in this rare match-play competition at the brand new Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain in Marana, Ariz., now have the opportunity to get their tickets in advance.

Tournament officials announced several ticket packages are available for next year's Accenture Match Play Championship, the first of three World Golf Championships events in 2009, to be held Feb. 23-March 1.

Tiger Woods won the 2008 Accenture Match Play Championship, improving his match-play record to 31-6 in his ninth year playing the event. It was Woods' 15th World Golf Championships victory.

The World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship has partnered with the Tucson Conquistadores to be the sales arm and charitable contribution beneficiary of the Accenture Match Play Championship. Proceeds from the Accenture Match Play Championship primarily benefit The Tucson Conquistadores Charities, including The First Tee of Tucson, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA and Pima County Special Olympics.
