Number Crunch: Accenture Match Play Championship

Feb. 20, 2008

The World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship is the only event on TOUR where players go head-to-head over 18 holes and the loser is eliminated. This week's Number Crunch focuses on the performance of different seed positions. For example, in the nine-year history of the event, Tiger Woods is the only player to win as the top seed (and he has done it twice). In 2002, Kevin Sutherland emerged as the champion after starting as the 62nd seed in the 64-player field.
