MORE E-NOTES: Champions Tour | Nationwide Tour

It isn't a record since it occurred over two tournaments rather than one, but if you took Zach Johnson's final two rounds at the Valero Texas Open and his opening two rounds the following week at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, he shot 253, which would break Tommy Armour III's 72-hole PGA TOUR record of 254 shot at the 2003 Valero Texas Open. Johnson finished in Texas with scores of 62-64 and opened at Las Vegas with 62-65.

Love III

After tying for sixth last week in Las Vegas, Davis Love III is now 125th on the money list with $764,737 in earnings.

Marc Turnesa's victory last week at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open made him the fourth different rookie to win this year, joining Andres Romero, Chez Reavie and Dustin Johnson. Since the TOUR started keeping records of such things in 1970, only once (five in 2004) have more rookies won in a season.

The last five winners in Las Vegas each earned their initial PGA TOUR titles Andre Stolz, Wes Short Jr., Troy Matteson, George McNeill and now, Marc Turnesa.

There were 95 eagles made last week at TPC Summerlin, but here's the interesting part 14 of them were made on par 4s. There were nine made at the 341-yard, par-4 15th.

DiMarco

Chris DiMarco is making a climb up the money list after finishing tied for 19th and tied for 10th in his last two outings. He's now 141st on the list with $568,614 in earnings. There are three events left in the season.

The 2008 Frys.com Open marks the second time this year that a PGA TOUR event will be contested in Scottsdale, Ariz. The FBR Open is the other.

Earlier this year, J.B. Holmes claimed his second FBR Open title at TPC Scottsdale on the same day Super Bowl XVII was contested at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Last year, Mike Weir snapped a nearly four-year winless drought with a compelling victory at Grayhawk, the eighth PGA TOUR win of his career. With the win, he jumped from 84th on the PGA TOUR Money List to 41st and eclipsed the $20 million mark in career earnings. This has been a solid campaign for the defending champion, as he has notched six top 10s so far and finished sixth in the final FedExCup standings. Weir's victory came in his 87th start since his previous win at the Northern Trust Open near Los Angeles in 2004.

Weir

With Mike Weir's victory a year ago, he claimed his fourth top-10 finish of 2007 and 53rd top-10 finish in 262 career starts.

Mark Hensby's second-place finish in 2007 was his best effort since a tie for third at the 2005 U.S. Open. His lone PGA TOUR victory came at the 2004 John Deere Classic. Hensby's finish here last year earned him a check for $540,000 and moved him from 151st on the money list to 99th, with $969,731.

Windy conditions in last year's final round caused the scoring average to soar to 72.392 from Saturday's average of 69.987. There were just 12 sub-par rounds on Sunday -- down from 34 on Saturday -- and the low round of the day was a 2-under-par 68 by five players, including champion Mike Weir.
