Pick: Esteban Toledo
OK, OK, this might be the long shot of all long shots, but it would also be a tremendous story. Toledo winning a TOUR event in his own country? Come on. Add to that the fact that Toledo's last TOUR event was the 2007 Mayakoba Golf Classic and it would just be a Cinderella story.

Lauren Deason

Pick: Chris Stroud
Stroud finished third at the PGA TOUR National Qualifying Tournament in 2007 to improve his TOUR status for 2008. That q-school showing capped off an impressive fall for the young golfer after he made six of seven cuts in the Fall Series with three top-15 finishes to boot. Stroud has made half of his cuts in 2008 and the accurate ball striker should perform well at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun.

Pick: Bubba Watson
Simply, he's playing well. His time isn't too far away. He's also off to another good start with a tie for 14th last week.

Pick: Steve Marino
Four rounds in the 60s and a top-10 here in '07 bode well for this second-year PGA TOUR player.

Pick: Greg Norman
My dark horse is a shark. Yes, I am going with the venerable Greg Norman. I can't help but think back to Johnny Miller's last triumph at Pebble Beach when I think of Greg competing in Mexico this week. He got a little taste of competition a couple of weeks ago and liked it enough to come back again this week. Maybe I am being overly optomistic and a little romantic with the pick but the writer in me can't help but imagine how cool it would be for Norman to win in Mexico.

Win McMurry
Host, PGA TOUR Today
Pick: James Driscoll
In his two starts this year, Driscoll returned to the PGA TOUR posting a top-20 and a top-15. He's hungry for his first win on TOUR and his game is in good form.

Scott Pianowski

Pick: Matt Kuchar
He's quietly coming around with three decent checks this month, and he was playing his best golf of the year at the end of the Northern Trust Open. Let's look for a carryover affect here.

Helen Ross
PGATOUR.com Chief of Correspondents
Pick: Matt Kuchar
He's coming off a tie for 14th at the Northern Trust Open, another notch in what is shaping up to be a solid season. The Georgia Tech product found Mexico to his liking last year when he tied for 18th. It's a hunch, but this could be a good week for Kuchar.

Dave Shedloski
PGATOUR.com Senior Correspondent
Pick: Bubba Watson
Leads the PGA TOUR in driving distance, which isn't exactly a good reason to select him on the layout that measures less than 7,000 yards. But if not for an uncooperative putter, he'd have been in the thick of things at Riviera. The powerful lefty might just bludgeon the field with his wedge, which obviates the need for great putting.

John Swantek

Pick: Alejandro Canizares
The gifted young Spaniard -- son of European Tour stalwart Jose Maria Canizares -- was one of only nine players to navigate through all three stages of q-school last fall; each time right on the number. That's clutch. He tied for 13th here last year, that helps. Has the game to win, and against this week's field, could be the breakthrough.
