HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Travelers Championship player field continues to grow with the addition of Mark Calcavecchia, a British Open champion; Olin Browne, a popular past champion who won the tournament in 1998, and nine-time PGA TOUR winner, Kenny Perry.

"Mark, Olin and Kenny are staples on the PGA TOUR who always add depth and talent to the field," said Tournament Director Nathan Grube. "These guys have all had solid performances in recent years, and we are pleased to welcome them back to Connecticut for another run at the Travelers Championship title."

Mark Calcavecchia has 13 PGA TOUR victories to his name, including a win at the British Open. He returns to Connecticut for his 25th appearance at the tournament, having played nearly every year since 1981, with his best finish coming in 2000 when he netted a solo second. Currently ranked No. 51 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Calcavecchia has had two top-10 finishes and four top-25 finishes this year. Last year, Calcavecchia finished within the top 125 on the money list for the 22nd consecutive year. He closed out the season at No. 20 in the FedExCup standings with a career-best of nearly $3 million in earnings.

Olin Browne earned his first PGA TOUR victory in Connecticut in 1998 in a playoff with Stewart Cink and Larry Mize. Browne chipped in for birdie from 40 feet on the first extra hole for the win. Since that victory, he has netted two additional TOUR wins and has had a total of 25 top-10 finishes in his career. Brown will serve as a Captain's Assistant for Paul Azinger on the 2008 Ryder Cup team. Browne currently leads the PGA TOUR as the No. 1 ranked player for driving accuracy, with a season statistic of 79.21% accuracy.

Nine-time PGA TOUR winner Kenny Perry returns for his 19th appearance at Connecticut's PGA TOUR event. Last season, Perry posted three top-10 finishes in his final ten starts, with eight top 25s in that span, leading him to close the season at No.60 in the FedExCup standings. Perry's best finish this year came at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, where he finished tied for third, just four strokes behind the winner.

Vijay Singh, Stewart Cink, David Toms and defending champion Hunter Mahan are among players who have committed to the Travelers Championship, which is the PGA TOUR's only early summer stop in the Northeast.
