• Second-round leader Chez Reavie tapped in a short birdie putt on the par-5 18th to regain sole possession of the lead. After 54 holes, he led by one over Anthony Kim, by four over Scott McCarron and Steve Marino, and by five over Billy Mayfair.

• Following the completion of Round 3, the field was cut to the low 70 professionals and ties, leaving a total of 71 players to tee off in Round 4. Those who did not qualify for play Sunday received their appropriate share of the official prize money in accordance with their respective positions.

• Lift, clean and place rules/Preferred Lies were in effect for Round 4.

• This is only the second tournament of the 2008 PGA TOUR season that has utilized lift, clean and place conditions for all four rounds -- the other was the AT&T Classic in suburban Atlanta.

Scott Sterling was the first player off the tee this morning and played as a single. Sterling played in 2:22 and posted a 2-over-par 72.

• The PGA TOUR family welcomed its newest member on Saturday as Will and Alli MacKenzie are the proud parents of Maverick Noah MacKenzie, born at 6:16 p.m. Young Maverick weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz., and measured 20.5 inches from head to toe. Mom and son are doing fine. It is the first child for the couple.

• Two-time defending champion Jim Furyk fell short in his bid to become the first player to win this event three consecutive times. Furyk shot a final-round 70 and wound up tied for 14th.

Glen Day posted weekend rounds of 64-68 to finish the tournament at 11-under 273 and tied for eighth place. It's the first top-10 finish for the 42-year old since he tied for fifth at the 2006 Southern Farm Bureau Classic -- a span of 39 starts. Day jumped from No. 173 on the FedExCup points list to No. 145. He also collected $145,000 and moved from No. 179 on the money list to No. 148.

• Don't try and tell Steve Marino about a 'sophomore slump.' The second-year pro may have stumbled in the final round with an even-par 70, but he still managed a tie for third finish. Marino has made the cut in 18 of 22 starts this year, has four top-10 finishes, nine top-25 finishes and has earned $1,460,390. He is now No. 35 on the money list and No. 31 on the FedExCup points list. As a rookie in 2007, Marino made the cut in 21 of 31 starts, had four top-10s, 10 top-25s and earned $1,179,165.

• Despite a final-round 75, Anthony Kim finished tied for eighth this week, his sixth top-10 finish in 16 starts this year. Kenny Perry (20 starts), Stewart Cink (16 starts) and Robert Allenby (19 starts) currently lead the PGA TOUR with seven top-10s this year. Jim Furyk, Geoff Ogilvy and Tiger Woods all have six top-10s to their credit in 2008.

• Canadian favorite Mike Weir birdied the final hole for a 2-under 69 that put him into a tie for fifth place. Weir's finish is the best by a Canadian in this event since Weir finished second here at Glen Abbey in 2004.

• Canada's Nick Taylor finished tied for 53rd this week. That's the best finish by a Canadian amateur in this event since Nick Weslock finished tied for 34th in 1972.

• Veteran Billy Mayfair posted a final-round 68 and wound up in solo second place. This is Mayfair's third top-10 of the year, following a tie for second at the PODS Championship and a tie for fourth at the Shell Houston Open. Mayfair has now made the cut in 11 of his last 12 starts.

• He collected 2,700 FedExCup points and jumped from No. 81 to No. 30 on the season points list. His runner-up check of $540,000 pushed his season total to $1,350,593. Mayfair also moved from No. 85 to No. 43 on the money list. This marks the seventh time in Mayfair's career that he has gone over the $1 million mark in a single season, and the fourth straight year he has done it.

Nicholas Thompson tied for fifth this week, his fourth top-10 of the year. Thompson is now No. 46 on the FedExCup points list and No. 49 on the money list.

• Scott McCarron tied for fifth place this week, his first top-10 finish of the year. McCarron began the 2008 season on a Major Medical Extension after sitting out the 2007 campaign due to elbow surgery in Aug. 2006. McCarron has made the cut in six of his 15 starts and his finish this week helped him move to No. 136 on the FedExCup points list and No. 143 on the money list.

• At the start of the final round 11 players had carded three consecutive rounds in the 60s. By the end of the day, only Billy Mayfair put his name in the record books as those able to post all four rounds in the 60s. Mayfair carded scores of 68-66-68-68 and becomes the 39th player in tournament history to accomplish that feat. The last to do it at Glen Abbey GC was Grant Waite in 2000.
