While the state of Texas has produced a significant number of TOUR players over the years, only three have won the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in the last 43 years -- Ben Crenshaw (1983), Billy Ray Brown (1992) and Scott Verplank (2007).

Corey Pavin and Vijay Singh have the most victories in the state of Texas of any active player -- four. Justin Leonard is right behind them with three wins in his home state to his credit.

Boo Weekley became the eighth player since 1960 to win his first two TOUR titles in the same event after claiming his second consecutive Verizon Heritage title last week.

More on Boo: The victory boosted Weekley into the Top 10 in the FedExCup standings?he's now seventh.

While he's yet to win this year, Stewart Cink is tied for the TOUR lead in Top 10 finishes (five) and his consistency has vaulted him into third place in the FedExCup standings.

The field at this week's EDS Byron Nelson Championship features recent Masters champion Trevor Immelman, along with five other 2008 tournament winners. Overall, the field will offer 27 of the top 50 players in the FedExCup standings.

This year's EDS Byron Nelson Championship will be held on the newly redesigned TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas Resort course. It will be the first time since 1993 that the tournament has been held on only one course.
