A victory by Tiger Woods this week would give him 64 in his career. That would tie Ben Hogan for third on the all-time list. A victory by Vijay Singh this week would give him 32 career wins and put him first on the all-time list of international winners.

More on Singh: His last win on TOUR came at the 2007 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard. In the 42-year history of the event only two players have successfully defended their title -- Loren Roberts (1994-1995) and Tiger Woods (2000-2003).

Sean O'Hair's victory last week was the second of his career for the 25-year old. Earlier this year, J.B. Holmes, also 25, won his second career title. There are now 15 players under the age of 30 who have won PGA TOUR titles, 11 of them from the U.S. This year's Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard will be the 30th held at Arnold's Bay Hill Club & Lodge. Fourteen of the previous 29 have been won by players who have major championships to their credit.

A hot player who might just be flying under the radar is Ryuji Imada. In his six starts this year, Imada has made the cut five times and is currently seventh on the FedExCup points list. He's finished in the top five in three of last four starts, including runner-up efforts at the Buick Invitational and the PODS Championship.

Scott Verplank's par-or-better streak ended at 28 after he posted a second-round 79 last week in high winds at the PODS Championship. Tiger Woods posted his worst score of the 2007 season in the final round of last year's Arnold Palmer Invitational, a 76. Only one time in his professional career did Woods have a higher final round score -- a 77 at the 1998 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
