AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am to run through 2014

SAN FRANCISCO -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), the PGA TOUR and Monterey Peninsula Foundation Inc. today announced that AT&T has extended the title sponsorship of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, one of the nation's premier golf tournaments, through 2014. AT&T has been the title sponsor of the tournament since 1986.

The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, which will be held Feb. 4-10 provides AT&T with a unique platform to showcase products and services to a worldwide audience. As the title sponsor, AT&T will receive benefits, including:
• Exclusive naming rights: AT&T will remain the exclusive title sponsor of the event through the 2014 tournament.
• Promotional Benefits: For each of the next six years, AT&T will receive on-site benefits, including name and/or logo placement on scoreboards, caddie bibs, tee markers, pin flags, tee back signage and the official tournament trophy; advertising in the tournament program and on daily pairings sheet and event tickets; and involvement in all press conferences and media events. In addition, the company will receive in-market promotional rights and technology integration throughout the tournament.
• Media Exposure. AT&T will receive significant title sponsor branding within network and cable broadcasts, promotional spots and news coverage. The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will be broadcast to more than 350 million households in more than 140 countries.
• The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is one of several golf tournaments sponsored by AT&T; others include the Masters Tournament and the AT&T National, hosted by Tiger Woods.

"Through sponsorships such as the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, we are able to use a unique platform to build an affinity for our products and services with a worldwide audience."

The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is a 72-hole PGA TOUR golf championship that has been in operation since 1937. Top TOUR professionals team with Hollywood celebrities, noteworthy musicians and various industry leaders to compete for a $6 million purse. Since moving the tournament to Pebble Beach in 1947, the tournament has generated more than $66 million for local educational and community service programs including $6.14 million last year.

"The extended commitment by our partners, AT&T and the PGA TOUR to this event and to the community will serve to further strengthen the critical connection between the tournament and local charities," said Monterey Peninsula Foundation Chairman Clint Eastwood. Throughout the tournament, AT&T will provide a variety of interactive fan experiences and amenities to enhance the overall on-course experience.

These amenities include the Wireless Caddie from AT&T. It provides real-time tournament information, unique content and product messaging via 500 AT&T wireless smartphones, which are available for checkout daily.

Another amenity is the AT&T Digital Clubhouse, an interactive tent at the triangle between holes 6 and 8 that offers fans an opportunity to interact with AT&T products and services, receive a GolfTec swing analysis and test their skills in the Long Drive contest.

Fans also have access to the AT&T Experience Tour, located at the grand entrance. This trailer features AT&T products and services, prize giveaways and Wireless Caddie devices. In addition, the company will provide free local and long distance calling from various course locations throughout the tournament.
