Rock Solid Performance: D.J. Trahan wins at The Hope
Beginning the day four strokes behind the leader, D.J. Trahan shot a 7-under par 65 in the final round of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic to earn his second career win on the PGA TOUR. His key to victory from a statistical perspective was putting.
He led the field in average putts per round with 26, and needed only 23 putts in rounds 2 and 5. Consider as well that Trahan one-putted nearly 50 percent of the time, on 42 of the 90 tournament holes. And while the field averaged close to three three-putts for the five-day event, Trahan did not three-putt a single time.

The following scoremap depicts the path taken by the champion and top finishers to arrive at the final winning score. The vertical axis on the left represents the number of strokes a player was ahead or behind the final leading score at a given point in time. The actual leading score relative to par is indicated in red.
