| In the last two months, since landing the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, Elmhurst Country Club has added two new tee complexes on No. 15 and 16. Elmhurst had already added fertilizer to the rough this year and lowered cutting heights on fairways, approaches and tees prior to receiving the Nationwide Tour event, which worked out well with the Tour's expectations for hosting this event. |
| The greens are very undulating, so there is not a need for high green speeds, in fact they will actually be slightly slower than normal member play for this tournament. |
| No. 18 is a great finishing hole and there will be great spectator interest there. It is an uphill, long par 4. No. 15 will be exciting as well, as it is a 210-yard, uphill par 3. Weather has been favorable, with a little bit of rain each day in the two weeks leading up to the tournament, helping the rough stay lush, whereas it is usually brown this time of year. -- Source: Golf Course Superintendents Association of America |
