| Course origins |
The 320 acres of wooded Ozark land was developed by John Q. Hammons, who always envisioned it as a golf and country club.
|
| Highland Springs CC is not only a lush location for golfers and health enthusiasts, but also is the centerpiece of a master-planned community consisting of 30 acres of town houses, 360 single-family lots for private homes and 20 acres zoned for commercial use. The course is a microcosm of the Ozarks -- lush, green-covered hillsides rich with walnut, elm, maple and dogwood trees, clear running streams and cool lakes.Source: Golf Course Superintendents Association of America |
